Ember Tiles
A calm, private, offline-first life tracker — my own product, from the first idea through to testing on iOS and Android.
Most habit trackers punish you. Miss a day and the streak resets, the app turns red, and the thing meant to help you starts nagging. Ember Tiles began as a personal tool built on the opposite idea: make a tile for anything you care about, light it each day you show up, and let a missed day cost you nothing but the number. Turning that into a real product meant giving it an identity, an interface, and a home on the web clear enough to explain itself at a glance.
Website strategy, design direction, content structure, AI-assisted development, testing, refinement, and deployment.
This one is my own product, designed and refined through daily use. Consistency becomes something you can see: tiles that catch light as the year fills in. Beyond the tiles there are rooms for the things a streak can’t hold — a log for cravings, symptoms and moods that shows which hours they cluster in, and a grid that breaks one large goal into sixty-four steps small enough to actually do. Everything stays on the device: no account, no server, nothing to leak.
