Muskoka Brush

A gallery site for a Muskoka watercolour and pastel painter — quiet enough to let four decades of landscapes do the talking.

The challenge

When people search for a local service, they compare a handful of options within minutes. This site needed to answer the three questions that matter — what’s offered, why trust this business, and how to reach them — faster and more clearly than the alternatives.

My role

Website strategy, design direction, content structure, AI-assisted development, testing, refinement, and deployment.

The approach

For a painter, the website’s job is to get out of the way. The palette comes from the paintings themselves — soft water, warm granite, pine — so the site frames the work instead of competing with it. Paintings are shown large and uncropped, the writing keeps the artist’s own unhurried voice, and the paths a collector needs stay close: browse the gallery, find her at an upcoming market, or send a note about a piece.
